Through the almost 10 years of experience working in professional behavioral health settings I’ve learned how trauma, life transitions, grief, depression, anxiety and other mental health disorders can impact relationships, daily life and overall happiness.
I want to work with couples and individuals on past trauma(s), attachments, boundaries, sexual dysfunctions and other behaviors/symptoms affecting their ability to enjoy life and loved ones. I have worked with populations such as: severely mentally ill, victims of crimes, veterans, law enforcement, incarcerated, substance use and hospitalized inpatient individuals
I have a masters degree in professional counseling. I have experience working with clients with a history of domestic violence, sexual, emotional, and physical abuse also secondary trauma. I have trainings in trauma interventions such as: imagery scripts, Gestalt, Trauma CBT, polyvagal theory, Heartmath, trauma and the sensory system and DBT. Also mindfulness, play therapy, crisis interventions, and EFT.
I believe my clients are the experts. My role as a therapist is to provide support and a safe environment to promote change and growth.
