Francis Bermudez, LAC

Francis is a Licensed Associate Counselor who discovered his passion for helping others at an early age. He received his masters in counseling from Arizona State University in 2022, and is currently pursuing his doctorate of psychology from Northern Arizona University. Francis has worked in the field of behavioral health for 10 years with the last 5 years being a Substance Abuse Counselor.

Francis believes that we are all products of our environment, but we do not have to be victims of that environment. He encourages the concept that perception is reality and that we must understand our perception of the world in order to understand our reality for what it is. Francis approaches therapy from an integrative perspective that is heavily based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Acceptance does not mean that we like or agree with our reality, only that we acknowledge it for what it is. Once we can accept our reality for what it is, all that is left is to commit to making the changes necessary to live the life we want to live.

Francis works with individuals, couples, and families that are interested in improving their quality of life. He believes that everyone deserves to live the life they dream of and he is dedicated to assisting his clients in attaining that life while providing a safe space to do so. In life we do not receive something for nothing, so we must all figure out what sacrifices we are willing to make to get the life we want.
